with a few tweaks you could save them .. what i mean is bring out the detail in the face not save that was wrong of me to say.

Fill flash would have worked well here, neither are brilliant as both are very dark and have bits cut off, like clothing and feet.

Hope you don't mind, I lightened their faces a bit although maybe this was not the effect you were after.

All I did was put them in photo ellements and lightened shadows.
