okay so I decided I'm gonna get the Nikon D40 camera, but then I looked it up on the net and looked at the battery charger cord.. apparently you don't plug it into the mains? does anyone know how this thing is charged? lol

it comes with a mains powered charger just plug it in the wall and plop the battery in to it

are you sure? because when I saw it, it had two tongs.. it's meant to be three tongs to put into the plug socket :|

It should come with an adapter for european use, my K10d pentax did. Its sourced from the U.S.

Thats because its not a UK power plug. You'll need a European to UK plug adapter.

Should do depending on where you bought it. If not, then one will only cost a couple of quid at an electrical store. :)
