I bought a new nikon 18-200mm lens recently and after going out with it for the first time this week I've noticed a few specs of dust behind the front glass which is also visible on some sky shots.
Any ideas how can I get rid of it? Thanks!

Sounds like you have dust on your sensor, the dust behind the front element should not be a problem and should not show up in shots.

Thanks Dave, I'll get a rocket blower and see if I can get rid of it from the sensor.
But I'd like to get rid of the dust inside the lens as well though at some point, do you know if this is something that I can do myself or do I have to give it to a specialist to remove the dust?
Thanks!
Personally I'd get a specialist to clean it, IF I bothered to get it cleaned.
Like Dave says it's unlikely that dust in the lens, unless it's really bad, is going to have much impact if any on your images.
