Well this afternoon was the 13th annual RAF re-union at RAF Hilbaldstow not far from me. This year only the Lancaster could make it for the fly past. Still a great sight even on its own. The crew did about six fly pasts, three more than last year and then flew off into the distance on its way back home.

Here's one of my better pictures from the event.

nice shot, well exposed, same the sky wasn't bluer, not much you can really do about that without too much work.

Great shot, you can really make out all the details on the plane, usually you can only see the underside of planes. Well done.

Love the shot :), looks like the cover of one of them kit bombers I used to glue together decades ago. Very sharp colours against a lovely background.

Thanks guys for your comments, the event at Derwent in Derbyshire is all ticket if you want to get up close, otherwise you'll have to find some nook and cranny to get a view of the Dambuster flypast. I was hoping to go but I don't think I've been selected to get a ticket from the BBMF web site.

The actual event on the dam is ticket only, however you are welcomed into the valley so long as you are on foot! Severe traffic restrictions will be in place, so I'm thinking of spending the night in the hills ;)
