I've seen this lense on the sigma web page and quite liked it + its a decent price.
Does anyone have any opinions on this lense and any pictures to show off what it is capable of ?

This is compatable with the Nikon D40x right ?
Have a look at the cheap telephoto lens thread in the challenges and inspirations folder - there's a few shots from the sigma in there.

Pay a bit extra and go for the APO version, you won't regret it.

Hiya,
Sigma 70-300 is a great start to telephoto lens' - it does quite nicely as a pseudo macro as well.
I've got one for sale if you are interested - I am only selling because I don't use it now I have a 100-400.
Cheers
Rob
Couple of pics with it in gallery.
