I was bored and its a clear night so i thought i know I'll do some time lapse of the moon - set the camera up to do a single shot per minute for 60 minutes point it at the moon press the shutter and go for a drink - come back 15 min latter at the last shot is black :shrug:

only managed 9 shots before it fell off the sensor :bang: still bored
I like that. Great moon shots, and I love the way it shows how quickly the moon shifts across the sky.

jgs - I had no idea the moon would move so quickly , i may try this again with a wider lens.

What zoom did you take those at, (I'd guess at about 40x) ? You got a lot of detail of the craters and Mare there.

Jgs it was shot with a Nikon 70-300Vr , 300mm f/11 1/40s iso 100, this one was shot a few weeks ago with the same lens and is a crop. (deleted all the pics from last night),

That's a beaut. You've got a bit of the colour coming through in the Mare.
