 I really don't like making countless threads for bits and bobs so I hope you don't mind me lumping them all into one thread ;)

Last week we visited numerous places making the most of Chris' week off work.

Friday was a trip to The Boston Stump, for a wheel around inside.
Something I haven't been able to do before hiring the wheelchair. I took quite a few shots, but this one is the one I like best:

We also sat by the Boston Grand Sluice bridge for a while. And I decided to have a play and make a short clip using the images taken there, and a little further down the road later, of trains going over the bridges. You can view that here (CLICKY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0Xq8ciVKw0)) if you want  Here is the static image also (click image for bigger view):

Then yesterday we headed to the east coast. I had in mind a shot of the beach from the cliff top at Mablethorpe. I pictured in my mind a very busy beach with it being so hot and a weekend .. as you can see I was right ...

Lastly a shot from my garden yesterday evening. Though according to the clock it is 2:55 ;)

Thanks for looking all!

Hi Jo,
That's a good mixed bag indeed.
Love the first shot, I tried something like that at Lichfield Cathedral a few weeks ago but didn't quit pull it off.

Anywho

Yes that first one is the best. It may be leaning in slightly (converging verticals) but you can alter that with the skew tool in photoshop (unless of course you like it like that!! )

Nice mixed bag Jo. I particularly like no 1 and 4. Like the perspective on no 1. Like the clarity and detail of no 4

I'm glad you mentioned HDR .. believe it or not it isn't :D I tried a different processing technique. I used bracketing and then when it came to processing I pulled in diferent detail from each of the 3 shots in layers, if that makes sense

Thanks everyone

what a super set of pics

from what you say about the first - isn't that a sort of "manual" HDR anyway?!?
nice effect whatever it was:clap:

I know what you mean Janice. I use Paintshop Pro photo though, and I'm not sure how to go about it. I'll perhaps have a play with it at some point. It is annoying though how they can put so much time (years and years) into building such a beautiful building .. but can they make it straight? can they heck

I thought it was a bit more complicated then that  I confess I have no clue though
