Step Rings

I've never used step rings before so excuse the ignorance!

If I were to buy the Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 XR Di lens would it be ok to put a step ring on the front of it that goes from 67mm to 77mm so I could then use my 77mm B+W filters?

Can you get 67-77mm step rings?

Will it cause vignetting at 28mm?

You could use it but you might get vignetting, you can only try.

I would have thought at 28mm you should be alright. What body is it with? As PapaLazarou says, you can but try. :)

Should be fine then I would have thought. 28mm on a 1.5X crop body isn't hugely wide.
