Tonedale Mill was established in 1790 and continued working up until the 1990's. The site is now being developed into luxury housing and is somewhere I've wanted access to for a while and this morning I spent a couple of hours on site. I would loved to have taken a model along as well but it's strictly hard hard, boots and gloves. Anyway, here's a small selection of the shots, I'm still toying with the processing but these have the general feel I want - I suspect they'll be a bit like marmite...

The open book in the last shot shows orders dating back to the 1940's.

Fantastic set, reminds me of the film 1984. Love these style of shots. Urban Decay I heard someone on here call them before. Top notch.

More houses , as if we don't have enough already

2,3 and 5 for me.

Lovely light and I like the processing too. Very sympathetic with the subject matter.

Model?

Hard hat, gloves and boots?

Would she need to be wearing anything else?

number 2 and the book for me. Stuff like that is so interesting, history in progress.

I like the compositions and bleached processing of your images really suits the subject.

These are really nice! A great feeling of dereliction and times past! Books, Ivy window and door on the floor work best for me but they are all very good!

Fantastic - I also love the door on the floor - and the one after that - no idea what it is, is my favourite because it shows all the other areas that you were shooting in and asks the question of "what the hell is that thing??"
