Another attempt to learn how to use this lens. Now with something a lot larger but even more static - St Catherine's Chapel: a derelict church.

From the road it looks like this - which is why I have driven past it a thousand times without seeing the chapel.

You can stop the car and walk through the wooden style and be all alone with the building and its grounds.

There's a very small cemetery - and this is one of the gravestones.

This is one of the broken arches where a window used to be at. It's at the tower end of the chapel.

This is part of the end wall and the arch of the window furthest from the tower.

I've not seen anyone else taking photos here - you can have the building to yourself. I've only tried in the early morning, so the afternoon will be a very different set of pictures.

Working with the nifty is a lot different from all the other lenses I have used of late. They are all zooms and I think that it is easier to compose a shot with a zoom - happy to be wrong about that.

3 has the most potential, the shadows are pretty intense.

I have it with less shadow, but this seemed more atmospheric.
