Until I met my daughter in law, I had never heard of Shenyang which is a small provincial city of 7.0 million people. There is one street which has three MacDonalds and two KFCs.

The Chinese are fearless with their architecture as this picture shows - three buildings co-joined by one structure.

There is an Olympics pavillion

One of the more interesting bridges across the river that runs through it.

The money building - supposed to bring wealth.

Certainly is some bold architecture and the photography's not bad either :)

Great shots. I certainly wouldn't have liked to be the one resposible for doing the calculations to work out if that joined structure would stay up! Bold indeed

Thanks. I did take about six shots to get this one and it is cropped from the original.

If you look carefully you can see the impact the pollution has on the sky in the picture when zoom lens gathers stuff that is invisible to the eye. Some of my Beijing shots have hideous distortions in the sky.

Thanks. I was knocked over when I saw the money building - had to get a camera out in a hurry before we drove past it.

Thanks. They are building two skyscrapers in Beijing which are leaning towards each other; I believe that they will join at some stage. I have a very poor (pollution impact) shot of them. There are lots of stunning new buildings in China.
