An estimated 100,000 Rangers fans hit Manchester today for the UEFA Cup final v Zenit St Petersburg.
This guy was one of the lucky ones. When I went out at lunchtime there was no beer in any of the supermarkets or off-licences. They had all sold out and could not expect another delivery today as the place was gridlocked - no delivery van would have a chance of getting into town. The only thing left was wine in plastic bottles (glass was banned for the day).
I hung around after work to have a couple of beers and soak in the atmosphere. A really good feeling all round. Hope it stays that way - apparently the big screen in Piccadilly isn't working and, according to R5, things are getting a little tense.
