Noisy IS Giro's in Canon 70-200 L f4 IS

Just bought the above lens.:thumbs:
One thing I've noticed is I can hear the IS system spinning.
Is this normal for this lens or is it maybe a fault.
The noise isn't by any way obtrusive.
The lens is working fine as per these photos posted earlier in the week.http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=61314

I can hear it on my 70-200 and 100-400.

I can sort of feel it more than hear it, guess the sound is a very quiet click as it activates and stops for me.

Its more of a gentle whirring noise rather than clicks that concerns me more.

But does makes a very soft clicks as it stabilises the image which I'm not concerned about.
