I am interested in taking some dark photographs of people with a goth like appearance with the aim of producing some fantasy/ goth/vampire digitally manipulated images and whilst waiting on volunteers (a friend is asking some of their friends) I thought I would get some practice in, so snapped a couple of myself and had a play. I would really like some feedback on this if possible - and obvioulsy I am no model, but sometimes you just need to use what you have in order to experiement and practice. Anyway, its nice to get rid of all my wrinkles:razz:

id say the skin is a little colourful for goth/vampire. but not a bad shot

Dark mean moody - what more did you want?

Great shot

:agree: An excellent shot.

Not sure if the drops of blood are real or not, I can't decide!

Can't decide - so it's a success then!

Skin tones are too rich for goth-style looks.
Something a little less saturated like this is nearer the mark I think...

i think glo's pp is a lot more goth, vamp, other than the blood needs darkening a bit

Here we go, my attempts at making skin tones paler and more " grey", no doubt I will tinker with it again too:D. A few other minor changes too.

With red eye just to see which works best.

I like the idea. and i think the effect works well, you really want the skin as pale as you can get it. Vampires are dead remember. The red eye works well.

Thanks. Yeah, I just didn't have my brain switched on, lol.

I love the red eye one... My only nit to pick is that the blood doesn't look like it is on the lip though, more floating above it.

I'm not happy with the blood either although i've tinkered with it for ages. But I have just had a new idea which i'm going to try to see if it helps, so watch out for a new version, lol.

Very nice

Loving the red-eye ... and to think we usually spend ages trying to get rid!

Another modification from the same photo, I quite like the gritty look I ended up with, not flattering but I don't really care, I'm more interested in photography and tinkering with photos than being vain.

Its the red eye one that works for me, rocks my boat! The blood looks pretty cool, just like it's rolling off the skin. Well done that girl
