Another hiking trip in Snowdonia today, not the best lighting for photography but took a shot or two anyway...

1st one is Llyn Crafnant, 2nd is a view towards Tryfan & the Glyderau

All comments appreciated

To be honest Llyn Crafnant is somewhere I tend to give a miss in favour of the more obvious mountains - thought I'd have a change today & glad I did, the scenery is better then I remembered.

The hiking is a bit harder too, did a 13 mile roundtrip from Trefriw to Capel Curig & back via Llyn Colwyd - if the weather had been better I would have had several more shots along the way

Love the compo. in No.1 The stone wall leads you down to the lake. P.S. What lens did you use? Misty

A place I would love to visit. You've done it well Simon, composition is well thought out.

Hi Simon

Like these both, lots of interest in the foreground and middle, and sharp throughout. A reward for your perseverance and hard work, what sort of kit are you carrying around for 13 miles?

I like the composition on them both. However the trees in the first look unrealistic to me, they almost look like that are sharpened way too much, but then the distant portion of the photo doesn't have this effect.
The second looks a bit dull to me, nothing really jumps out of the photo as if to say look at me!

I thought it was my screen but tried it on another screen at work and still the same, rather flat photos.

Sorry:shrug:

Thanks everyone for the comments feedback...

Kit wise I carry a Samsung GX10 (pentax k10d clone), I use a Sigma 17-70 for all of my landscape shots.

"Flatness" wise, as I mentioned the lighting wasn't the best & I took a lot fewer shots than I normally would in better lighting, the hike had some great viewpoints - these are only 2 which I thought were worth keeping, although not the best not sure they're completely "flat looking"

The great thing about this particular trip though was that I've not added several locations to my "revisit" list in better lighting, several are well suited to sunrise
