Not bad - you're on the right track there. The contrasty light hasn't helped you much either, but keep clickin'!
As CT :notworthy: says they arnt bad.
If you can get the light on the birdy rather than across it'll help.

Birds are busy little guys. Not as easy to photograph as one might think! You're shots look pretty good, but most seem a bit soft to me. Not sure if it's camera shake or focus. Perhaps a bit of sharpening in photoshop (or similar program) would help?
Not bad at all and practise will pay off ;) . But PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE go and take the whole peanuts in, as the adults put them in the babies mouths and it can choke the babies to death :(
Jo is right - the peanuts should be in a wire feeder really so they can only pull them out a bit at a time.
White bread is now frowned on by wildlife experts as filling the birds up quickly, but it contains little or no nutrients and prevents them getting the nutrition they need, so is harmful eventually. Suet fat balls are one of the most nutrition rich things you can feed birds and they really attract them to your feeder. ;)
Don't say just sparrows the house sparrow is on the red list for endangered species
still trying :D

OOOOPs didn't know that, going to get me nuts in
Edit
OK white bread removed, replaced with wild bird seed mix and i've put me nuts in a net:thumbs:

Alxxx I hate to pick but a net won't do it I'm afraid, as they will still be able to pull the nuts out whole. The netting is stretchy and flexible. To be extra safe it should be a wire feeder with the smallest holes possible :)
The first Sparrow in your second lot of pics is so much better, that practise is already starting to pay off
OK Jo i'll pop into town tomorrow, thanks for the info
