These are the male & female coming out of the nest burrow.
They come out backwards and flip over almost instantly so you can get some interesting shots.....if you're quick enough of course.
I have a new monitor and even though it's been calibrated I would like to know if the colours and more so the brightness is ok.

Thank's for the comments.
Cobra, to me, the birds look ok, maybe just bright enough, but the backgrounds are dark as they are flashed and I ain't bothered to brighten them up.
Is that what you mean?

Yes, you do need a license and I have had one for a few years. I have two nestsites that I'm about to photograph again this year.

I'm trying to decide atm between the 300 and 500. My mate has the 300 and I think it's the sharpest lens I've used, even with the 1.4x.
I also have the 500 atm for a few days...not mine, but another friend who offered it me as he's gone away on holiday.
Ill say this, if you buy one, you WILL want the other one as well :) Doesnt help you i know, but be prepared for it ! lol :)

I think I have already found that out as I find the 300 a little short for certain things and I find the 500 not that easy to use on a monopod and keep still especially with a 1.4x.
I can only have one so am leaning towards the 500 atm.

I use a Gitzo GT3540LS with the 600mm, never tried a monopod with it, and have a Wimberley 2 Head for it as well :)

Well, I have'nt got either lens yet but my Manfrotto 393 head is coming tommorrow so I've got to get something to put on it. I already have an Manfrotto 055 tripod which I'm hoping is enough.
I was using the 500 + monopod with my 40d and as I said I found it pretty hard to keep it still enough. Suppose it's a bit easier with a 1.3 crop body.

393 is a great head and great Value for money
:) Will keep an ear out for what you end up with :)
