Tiny Wriggly Thing - can anyone ID please?

Can anyone ID this please - I have just found it in one of my flower tubs, it moves like a snake but is segmented, and does not seem to really have any feet apart from maybe a couple of feathery ones at the tail end. It was difficult to get a good picture as it kept moving and I have not got the hang of the extention tubes yet. I put a 1 penny in to give an idea of size.

At a guess, I would say it is a simple phenomenon where you have stumbled across a wormhole (excuse the pun :D) that exists in your flowerpot, where the wormhole takes you forward in time to where the snakes of the world are tiny :)
