I just posted a reply on a thread and realised that I had not posted an introduction here. How rude was that?! Apologies! :wave:
I'm based in North Hampshire and have been interested in photography for many years. However, it has only been recently (since the girls left home) that I have been able to justify getting some decent kit. I've had a Nikon D80 for about 18 months and am just sorting out how it works and what glass is best for my needs.
I take a few landscapes and wildlife and also a fair bit of beach, surfing and kiting shots. I also take shots and macro shots of my ever changing watch collection (I love the Nikkor 60mm micro for these).
I'm looking forward to learning so much for all the knowledgeable forummers and am sure that a lot of the good advice will leave me much lighter of pocket!!!
