I am looking for a wireless transmitter for my 580EX and 430EX flash units, is there any other different makes of transmitters out there??. Also do i need a receiver or are the flash units the receivers?? i need some info on the subject.

I think the Canon ST-E2 is the only option, you can pick one up for around £100.
Did you live in Hyde at some point Paul ?, I was at school with a Paul Tomlinson and he moved to Nottingham.
Hi Paul......why don't you use your 580EX to fire your 430EX as a slave?
I have only the 430EX so I just bought the ST-E2 to be able to fire it off shoe...

Hi Migs, I have just bought the 580E X to use as a master unit so i can use the 430EX as a slave but not to sure on what to do, i think i will buy cables to start with just to get me going and to get used to useing and setting them both up.
I have had a look on the net for the information on how to set these up but found nothing.
Cheers Migs
