its dull and boring even considering how dull and boring RnB can get.

i think its a sign of getting old when you find radioOne painful listening and have to turn over to listen to better music without the dribbling idiots talking between it!

chris moyles - one trick pony and being fat is his one trick
joe "which bands collective cock am i sucking this week" whiley - answers in the name
edith bowman - she trys but her dull as dishwater scotish accent (it sounds almost fake) coupled up with her daily "what boring thing are you doing but wish to phone up radio 1 about today" slots makes me want to kill her

which leads me neatly onto.....

scot "the only thing worth listening to is my wonderyears slot" mills

Haven't listened to R1 for ages*–*have substituted the office radio for an iPod dock where anyone can bring in their own tunes to play.

Mill's ROTW is pants. These days, R & B (not that it should be called that*–*John Lee Hooker is R&B in my book) is just American claptrap that's wallowing in its own success. Unfortunately, more UK artists are following suite and it leads me to believe that they do it for a quick buck at the expense of articstic integrity.

No one ever takes 'R&B' forward, it just stays to the same formulaic Timabland-style production with some dude or warbling bird who's 'fresh from the streets' and has had to 'rap/sing/warble to survive'. Give me a break; anyone who buys this rubbish should be shot.

Now, where's my Val Doonican LP.... :)

I can't stand Radio 1 either, but the worst has to be Kiss FM, that really does my brain in. The only time I really get to hear any radio is when I'm in the gym at work. If others are in the gym already we're asked to respect other peoples choice of station. I shut the noise out and get on with my workout. If I'm in the gym on my own, I retune the Kiss FM preset to Virgin. Virgin is already on a preset, but, little things please little minds.
At least Virgin plays better music, apart from their unfailing ability to play Amy Crackhouse every time I'm listening.:bang:
