I think the photo works if you're the dog's owner but might not do it for everyone else. If the focus was on the eyes maybe it would have more effect, maybe. The "stuff" in front of the dog's face is nice and sharp though :D

The dog is trying to play hide and seek.....

It's one of those shots where you probably had a split second to take it hence the bush took the main focus, but even so the dogs face is still sharp enough.
