I can see your goal in each image, but I don't think you scored. I think everyday textures rarely offer a lot if presented in an everyday way. They need interest added - say through the lighting, the point or angle of view, the juxtaposing of something unusual, etc. The best of the bunch, for me, is the last one - the colour, sheen and texture of the wood offer more interest. Just my thoughts -others will differ :).

this is very much my kinda thing, and i agree with Tony about the last one being the best. I think maybe you need to get closer to your subject and make it less recognisable. for example with number 2 put the centre circle in a corner and have the pattern fanning out.
