I recently got myself a light tent however I've been hunting the local shops for daylight bulbs and there appears to be two types.

The low energy swirly things @ > £10
Or the traditional blue bulb type things < £3

What's the difference? And will the blue "craft" bulbs do the job?

Why not just manually set white balance before taking the shots?

Saves on buying either bulb ;)

It's not a con. You have to remember that a lot of users in this market will still be using film, so they don't have the WB control that you do with digital.
