Does anyone have experience of this lens? If so, is it worthy of investment for use with a Nikon D200?

I had one, sold it to my brother, who uses is quite successfully on a D300. Personally, I prefer the reach of the 100-300mm f/4...

It is indeed a worthy lens:)

Taken at Tala Game Reserve, South Africa, this was at full zoom, with camera resting on a bean bag on the roof of the vehicle. Photo taken at around 10am in bright sunlight.

Body: Nikon D100
Lens: 70-200mm Sigma f2.8 EX HSM APO with 2 x teleconverter.

Sadly no exif data - the originl file is long gone :(
