...the rape seed fields this year but when I found this one, in what was left of Oxfordshire, it was too much to resist. :)

Yes, lovely shot Dazza...........
Thankyou folks. :)
This is the larger picture, so to speak. There were also a pair of swans gliding about and I would have loved to have got a shot with them against the yellow rising out of the water. Alas, not to be.....

It was just after I'd taken these that I head about the tragic death of the young lad in the flash floods just a few miles from this spot. :'(

Ta. :) Not a crop of course but a different lens. The EOS is reasonably good but not that good.

Distillation is my big thing at the mo. It was a pretty easy step to go from the big open scene in the 2nd shot to knowing all I really wanted was a little bit of yellow and some reflected sky. Everything else was just taking away from the impact of the image.

The pleasure was all in the taking but it's always nice to share. I don't shoot or post pics anywhere nearly as much as I'd like to.
You should get out more often if you come back with stuff like this Dazz.
Top drawer.

Cheers geez. Sadly where as I agree it should all be about light, it's so often all about time.
I've not even gotten around to looking at all of your scottish work yet. although that is partly because I'm in denial about that fact that I need to take some time off and go up there soon....... very soon.
