Still going through my travel photos, but here is an unedited one of Wave Rock in Australia... Needs a person in it to show the sheer scale of it!

As always C+C Welcomed!!

Black blob on the side of the photo to be removed when I get round to editing my chosen images! ;)

That rock is cool. This is why I want to visit Australia, too much cool stuff down there.

Damn right... I returned from my travelling (8months) with nearly 16,000 photos!!! Would of been more, but I only had 2x2GB cards at the time :(

Looking to go away again though, this time I'll be prepared! :)

Can't recommend travelling enough to peope, get out there, see the world! Next stop Europe!!!

It lacks clarity (jpeg compression?). The shadows to the left and right are a bit distracting too.

Thanks for your comment King Boru, I have removed the shadows, toned down the blue from the polariser and level/curved it...

Does this one look any better, if not, how do you think I can improve it? I want his picture printed quite large for my girlfriend and would love it to look nice.

Cheers

hmmmm, not sure now. I thought I liked the shadows, they added a bottom row to three lines all heading out of the frame to the vanishing point.

With them taken away, that part of the shot sort of falls away which is a shame. What you gain is a much greater feeling of isolation for the figure, which I also really like.

Tough call, works both ways I reckon.

Sorry, not much help eh.

The edit is a lot better. It appears to have a lot more clarity and dynamic range compared to the first one. There is also greater subject isolation.

Hey..I reconise those rocks...
Other than the rock formation there's not a lot there is there? A long ways out of Perth too - kids hated the trip...
What were your favourite places to visit in WA?

Hey Sitt, In WA I enjoyed pretty much everywhere - the difference between the east coast is immense... I enjoyed Lancelin, Coral Bay, Exmouth, Augusta, Margaret River - well, the list goes on... Check out my blog at http://www.MyBackpackAndI.com under the category Australia!
