View Full Version : Sunset at Elgol.....
Bit of a cliche I suppose but something I've not bothered to shoot in Scotland before. We had to race down there (as much as is humanely possible on that road) from broadford as we got distracted by fish and chips, looked up and realised how late it'd got. Arrived just in time it would seem........

Thoughts always welcome.....
I think that's just great. I know I'm probably not looking at it with the most level head as I just love that view and could look at shots of it all day.
I love the little bit of flare you have there and the way the boat on the left of shot is tucked just under the line of the land.
Were the fish and chips good too?
NO they were not. I was most disappointed as the little restaurant in Broadford (creelers?) that used to sell F&C out of a little hatch round the back has stopped doing them. Second choice was the chippy by the elgol turning. Soggy. And bland. And I'd waited all week for them too :(
I have more from here so expect to see them soon!

I love this place! I only visited very briefly (about 45 minutes!) when I was on Skye a few weeks back and have to say its one of the most stunning sights I've seen. I really like the colours in this shot - it makes me want to go back and spend more time shooting there! We actually nearly rented out the house right on the stone beach for our holiday but it was fully booked, when we visted we understood why!!
Fantastic stuff, as usual mate :)

Great picture, super capture. Shame about the chips, have never been keen on the fish myself. I'd prefer a quality battered sausage.
