I agreee, well done
Really like the cars all lined up. Nice one. Did anyone else see the F1 car doughnut on Sunday? I tried to catch it but was a little too far away and all my shots of it are pants.

Erm what you mean by Car Doughnut? im blonde? :D
Lol, The first time the F1 car was brought out on Sunday he did a few laps and than on the 3/4 lap he stopped at Club corner and span the car (on purpose) around the front wheels. Its a bit of a party trick that you can only really do in rear wheel drive cars. Creates lots of smoke etc.
Here is my best. Tried the whole panning thing and wasn't really getting it which was annoying. This was from the first clio race on the Sunday - a proper scrap for third place. They went into Club corner three a breast. This pic is them just exiting that corner.

The car spinning [he did it on the pit straight too I think, though I was actually taking that shot above at the time] creates black circles on the track from scrubbed tyre rubber, hence the term 'donuts'

Hi Sam,
I had the same problem, my shot above i tried with Panning and was the best of a really BAD bunch! i can't get to grips with it either - been reading up on it all night tonight for next time as i'd love to get it right :)
Yeah, that's it. Were you there on Sunday? Looks as if you were at the same spot as us

Yeah, I was there Sunday. Was shooting with a Canon 400D and 70-300, as was a mate of mine standing next to me. Must have been a little closer as the posted pic of the F1 car is not cropped. You'll almost certainly have us in your crowd shots I think

Fat bloke, white t-shirt with a bright red face... 40d+sigma 100-300 on a monopod... that was me - I have a serious case of panda eyes today as i never took my sunglasses off all day... :bonk:
Will have a look through my pics at some point and may even post a couple if they are any where near good enough...
Cool. Yeah, we are all a little red today. I don't know Braeden - haven't acually met many of the people on here in person yet.

:D Last years McLaren fall out was nothing compared to the disagreement Fernando and I had on saturday, haha.
My fave shot i took from the weekend ended up to not be a racing pic, but one of the more arty ones i took.

Like it :) Really good use of DOF :)

Using a canon 10-22mm, and getting about 15cm away from the object. :p
iirc, settings were
1/1000 shutter speed
f3.5
11mm
iso100
Just did an angle, so as to be able to see the yellowgold car past it.
just back from a weeks hols after silverstone so this is my first chance to post my best pic - or at least I think it's good! Taken at the exit of club corner.
