I think me and you know that, that won't make any women happy
You need to take her out, buy her food in an exspensive resturent
Buy her some choclates, and a gold chain
Make a big fuss about her for the night, and she will let you or even buy the 100-400L for you
Or failing that, by a fold up bed and your sorted
If she says why did you get that? Just act like a true man and say "It's a bed any it?"

I spend most of my time sleeping under the letterbox trying to catch the bank-statement before she sees it! I always chuckle when she says "We've not had a bank statement for ages have we"? :-)

if a man can't sort out these two staple requirements for himself, he shouldn't consider marriage or kit purchases. ;)

I mentioned to the GF that I was thinking of buying a Dye Sub for my events and she raised an eyebrow.
I don't think I'll tell her about the second D200, the S5 Pro or the SB800 for a while :naughty:
Fortunately we don't yet live together so she'll not find out for a while.

Seriously folks. It is a bloke thing this. I've done the same thing. I came home with a 70 - 200 f2.8L and a G9 a few weeks ago. To make matters worse they were an unplanned purchase (although I'd been thinking about it for a few months and knew what I was after) from Jessops in the Trafford Centre. So not even the cheapest I could have got the gear. I can't begin to tell you how guilty I was feeling on the drive back. And of course, because the f2.8L is a massive white thing, I couldn't even pretent I'd had it for years and she just hadn't noticed.
My mate did the same sort of thing with a fishing pole (£1,500) and a dive computer (£300) a couple of months ago.
In all the years I've known my wife and all the other women I know, they never ever seem to make big mad purchases like us men. It must be in our genes. So may be we're not to blame. I'm starting to feel better already!

And in all those many years have you bought the same volume of clothes, shoes, makeup, perfume etc that she has? Bit pedantic and stating obviously feminine purchases but do you think you have spent similar amounts?
Treat yourself, you know it makes sense!:thumbs:

Probably not. So may be I should nip out now and get the 24-70L f2.8 I've been drooling over.
Is it OK if I tell her BertRoot said it was OK?
