Hello, I couldn't find any rules on image sizes, so I hope 1024 wide is ok :suspect:

Anyhow, popped out with a friend for a little shoot of our cars, here's a couple I shot of mine that I'm pretty happy with.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3132/2557172854_4036b965aa.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/4hero/2557172854/sizes/l/)

and one which has been "slightly" processed (6 exposures, photomatix, photoshop cs2 and lightroom).

C&C very welcome and thanks for looking.

Neil.

Nice shots but you need to shrink them to 800 wide, or the pixel police will break it to links.

Good composition & location with excellent subject matter - I had my first scooby a MY99 in 99 and replaced that with a P1 in 01, oh the memories :D:D

Thanks, but can someone point me to the rules on 800px wide? I did look? Will I get dead? They look tiny on my 24" monitor

EdinburghGary, it's not been on the rolling road, but a friend has one the same. Just under 300bhp, 0-60mph in a little over 5 seconds.

Dogfish_magnet, this is my 3rd impreza now, they are lovely (apart from the 2008 model )

Not seen you about, would have spotted a stunning car like that!!!

Here's my baby:

Do I get a prize for the most posted pic on TP? :D

0 to 60 4.7 seconds, 198 BHP I think. 800kg ish :D

Apparently you can buy a chip which will reduce the 0 to 60 to 4.1 seconds, crazy though.

do you go to the sidc/lotus trackdays at knockhill? I'm up there all the time (not on track mind you)..

Been a few times but not for ages. Only been driving 8 months, and you can tell when I am on track, so waiting until I have a little more road experience before potentially wrecking the car!

Had a very close shave last time on track, spun on the 2nd corner and nearly got hit head on by an Alfa Romeo.

Kept going and spun a further 4 or 5 times before calling it quits :D

Never been tempted to take mine on track yet. Been round plenty of times though as a passenger, great fun!

I was tempted for about 2 minutes to buy an Elise, getting bored with impreza's now. Have something else in mind now (which should keep up with yours :D)

I will be honest, I have always hated scoobies as I thought they look like big boxes (although fast ones :D)...

However, yours trully is stunning. For a start its not the god awful blue and yellow. The gold wheels on black is FAB, and that front splitter and no plate really finishes your car off superbly. I would definately be very proud of your car, and would love one to sit alongside my bitch.

When you getting the replacement then :) Any clues? :naughty:

Dream garage for me:
An Elise S/C
Ariel Atom :love::love::love:
Audi RS6
Ferrari any flavour - as long as recent
Lambo any flavour - as long as recent
911 GT3

My P1 was heavily modified showing about 350BHP on the rolling road on a nice cool damp day only did one track day as it cost a fortune - New disc's & pads all round (380mm vented brembo) and 4 new tyres oh and the cost of the track day oh and a new clutch about a week later:shake:

Thanks, glad you like it! I've never had a blue and gold impreza, all too common in my opinion ;) The last 2 were silver.

My next car (except for the fiat 500 which I'll be getting shortly) begins in RS and ends in 4, any ideas? :D

edited to add, the P1's are lovely Paul, great choice!

I know what you mean re fuel. I bought a sh*tty motorbike, 125 Suzuki Maurader, piece of crap. Hate bikes, but free parking outside the office on Queen Street and £10 for 3 months of petrol, can't argue with the logic!

I have been taking the lotus in for the last 2 weeks (ignoring my holiday)...puncture on the bike, too lazy to sort etc.

If you see me on the road, give us a toot and a flash, will return the gesture :)

Stay safe out there,

Gary.

Its fair enough if you missed the rule the first time and posted oversized photos, but if someone tells you that they are oversized and i change the photos to links then please dont change them back to oversized photos.
You wont 'get dead', but I might get a bit annoyed about having to do the same thing twice.

no, the rules (which i posted earlier) say 800px wide, so 500 is fine

I edited the post last night and changed the photos to links as they were too wide.
Then this morning they had been changed back to full size.
So, I edited them again.
Then after that you changed them to 500 pixels (which is fine)

Nice photo's of a very nice motor !

Here's my new toy, not in the same league as your cars guys, but running costs are very reasonable and it's got a lovely torque curve that never fails to put a smile on my face.

That's very odd, I would never have done such a thing. It's possible that I was correcting a few typo's when you were editing the page, and I saved after you?

It doesn't really matter, I now know the rules

Shot number one, Like it it's a little different.

Shot number two, is for me looking at little lost and yours eyes seem to be pulled more to the tyres than your lovely car.

Shot number three, this one is the pick of the three, rather mean and a bit moody which suits this type of car. Well captured.

And the vRS is a nice motor too but the shot makes it look like there is a wooden sunroof installed!

As for Fiat 500, I've just ordered one myself :) 67 mpg average, £20 road tax and predicted over 50% residual

Lovely car - pic #3 for me.

I was gagging for an 07 Imprezze STI but the good ones are hard to find. Plenty of WRX's about though ....

Best fun I ever had was around the 'ring in an 05 WRX STI Type UK. Serious fun with cut slicks on .... called it the 'slide machine' :D

However, been and test drove a *nearly new* Exige this morning. So much fun and sounds sweeeeet.

Edinburgh Gary - be seeing you soon :D:D:D

Oh well while we're posting pics of our cars I might as well throw one of mine in lol.

R33 GTS-T but heavily modded, running 440+bhp, 0-60 around 4 secs I would expect and 170+mph

My friend 'Shak' has an R34 ... it's running some crazy BHP!

Amazing cars though :)

Most highly modified car I've had the pleasure of being in, was Warren Kelly's Escort Cossie running at approx 625BHP.

It will beat an Enzo on 0 - 200MPH! Talk about pinning you into a seat!

It's a Nissan Skyline R33 mate lol.

On full chat an Enzo won't have much over me. Certainly wouldn't disappear in the distance anyway.

At the moment though id just be happy to get it running properly. Got a boost leak somewhere and it's running stupidly hot. I'll get to the bottom of it if it kills me though.

i think the Enzo would still be accelerating when that front air dam falls of the skyline :)

Nice Scoob pics. I've seen that one up at Knockhill. I've had a couple in my time. A MY98 classic. Had to wait nearly 10 months on delivery. I followed that up with an Evo 6, then went all sensible and bought an Audi tdi, got bored ended up back in a UK Sti, then jumped back to an Evo 7.

I tracked the Scoobs and Evos. the most fun was the E7. You could thrash it that hard and drift it at knockhill through Clarke and force the AYC to turn off mid corner :woot: at about 80 mph...fun times.

I'm now in a Discovery 3, but looking to get into something a bit faster. At present an RS4 avant is top of the list :naughty:

If you see me hanging out at the hairpin or at the bottom of duffus at a tracknight/ SIDC day come over and say 'hello'
