Pizazz??
Any pointers welcome1st or 2nd house shot better? used a warming filter for the 2nd to try to bring out some colour in the building??? did it work?
Hi scoff, I've edited your link to the pictures, to clickable links instead of inline images, as they are larger than our rules permit.
(Maximum 800 pixels along the longest edge and 160k in filesize).
Please feel free to resize the images and edit the links again :)
Thanks scoff. Much appreciated :)
I prefer the first house shot. The single colour approach and the wider angle gives it a better feeling of grandeur and serenity.
In the second one, the water fountain tends to dominate the shot too much.
The two blokes, the one on the left has a slight look of Richard Briers! :D
3rd one is crying out for some HDR messing about, otherwise i like, the flower could do with a bit more Pizazzz though?
Ta.
Whats HDR?
How do I add Pizazz?? :)

enjoy!
I like the first shot, a close up of the chap on the left would make a cracking solo protrait I think!
Yeh, did look at that TBH he seems somewhat more interesting than the other. They just looked slightly interesting and out of the ordinary so it shot it, Does the B&W work or should i have left it in colour? Went for B&W to highlight their features and shadows.
B&W works, I think he's more interesting because he's looking into the lens. The other guy would be a good shot too if his attention wasn't elsewhere.
The only thing I'd say lets the shot down is that their foreheads are both burned out, not much you can do about that unless you have a raw version and or are handy with the clone tool :)
The warm up filter hasn't added anything to the house image apart from a colour cast.
You don't need to use coloured filters with digital, as they can be added through
the editing software.
If you want to add a bit more colour into the other house shot, adjust the saturation slightly.
I like the tulip shot.
I would crop it tighter and add a border.
