I just managed to put my paintbrush down long enough to grab this quick shot before my cover was well and truly blown. :D

A christmas card image if ever there was one :)
Nice work there CT
Thanks. :) It was taken at 800 ISO, handheld and I was still struggling for a fast enough shutter speed in the overcast conditions for the 100-400L . Consequently it's a tad noisy, but I liked the pose on this one.
Its a great shot CT, just needs some snow on the tree and you could print your own xmas cards this year ;)
Beautiful - they don't give you a second chance. To hell with the grain, at normal viewing distance it rerely shows. A capture like this with the setting is one to treasure.
Great capture CT.

I'd adjust the brightness and contrast a liitle,
it will help lift the robin a bit from the background.
I've been trying bird on stick shots, but so far they've all been binned.

I know that feeling mate, I've missed my male chaffinch a couple of times today. The only time I got him it was well blurred. I've been swinging a paintprush all day with one eye on the garden and the camera on the window ledge. :D
cracking shot there ct. top notch
