Seagulls are something of an often photographed subject but I don't think I've seen better than those. :thumbs:

How do you set your exposure and shutter speed and what lens did you use?

I use manual mode and sort of intuition/experience to set the shutter speed depending on the colour of the bird and the light.
I basically dial in the right settings for not blowing out any whites on the bird and getting a reasonably fast shutter speed to freeze them.

The first 2 pics were with my 500 and the last 2 was my 100-400.

I agree, the way the birds catch the light is fantastic.
