The ragged poppy

Whilst out driving locally we spotted some magnificent poppies growing upon some derelict land. I hoped out snapped a few shots and picked a few to bring home too. Here is the first of a few shots - I'm still sorting through them.

I agree totally. I do find frames unnecessary. Just can't see the value in them. I do like the composition of the second more.

I will not use frames for the rest.

Was the light a little duller on the second one, looks like it needs a boost.
I'd have liked to see a little more depth of field as my preference for this one.
