Looks like this would be a hard thing to shoot with all the bits and bobs in the background. Is this at EDI?

Gary.

#1 you've shot in portrait instead of landscape, it can work but it would have a lot more impact the other way round. Everything above the tree line and below the horse is wasted space

#2 can't make my mind up yet :p

#3 great timing but a wee bit small in the frame for my taste, although my wife likes it as it shows the whole jump. As she's a rider I'd go with her opinion rather than mine ;)

#4 and #5 not bad at all, be better if the rider was facing you but it's not always possible

#6 looks like the horse is out of focus. On the plus side you've caught it at the height of the action so your timing's good :)

hi frankee,

#1 I agree with dod, better portrait

#2 I would probably crop tighter to lose some of the background and one side of the jump that is not shown in full

#3 Great timing, however I would either get the whole jump in or crop tighter

#4&5 Agree with dod. The sun on the horse is always the best way of showing it off.

#6 One to be proud of!
