Nah, he was reacting to the Af flash thingy going on...too tired to recall the proper word...and I thought it would be great to catch him in something other than a planned pose. Not flattering, but I suppose, the sort of thing paparazzi love to do...catching people unawares in unflattering poses.

It's a candid all right, but I'm unconvinced... I doesn't have an overideing emotion, the composition isn't great (zooming out, or taking a step back would have made a world of difference) and the flash/lighting on his skin is deeply distracting.

Damned interesting pose though.
