As title says!
We recently did a wedding for some friends and I want to burn them to DVD so they can view from pc & dvd player.
This will only be a one off, so don't want to spend money on something I will only use the once. Some nice transitions and filename on the screen are essentials!
Also, what DVD R/RW are best for all round compatability? - or + ?
Thanks
AB

For things like that I tend to use iMovie and iDvd to burn it, however I'm not too sure on the transitions as I've never bothered with those.
Have you thought about downloading a free trial of pro show or nero or something?

Can you not use windows movie maker.
Think it is installed with windows XP and Vista
or download from here
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx
unless its mac software you need if so please ignore :D
Can't really help on the slideshow software, but I have - R/RW more compatible with standalone DVD players, although if the DVD player is reasonably new wither should be fine.
Whatever you use burn it slowly 2x or 4x speed.

Thanks Mark & others.
I have downloaded Pro-Show Gold as they give a 15 day full featured trial. That will be enough for one slideshow methinks!

I've got a feeling the Pro-Show Gold trial watermarks the video. I spent ages looking for something free to do the job until I realised my DVD burner came with a copy of Ahead Nero (doh!). No idea how much the retail version is but it worked really well for me.
Of the free ones I tried nothing really did the whole job I wanted it to or it did but it watermarked it. I guess you get what you pay for.

Used this before, its a free download and does all the panning in photos that the Mac software does. Pretty and simple just the way I like it. Might have to use something else to burn as a DVD though cant remember off the top of my head.
