2 year warranty!

Make sure you register your Camera even if you buy it Secondhand with the manufacturer, I recently bought a S/H D200 I registered it on Nikons website and I now have a 2 year warranty! along with all the paperwork. I have checked with Nikon and they can't tell how old a Camera is from the Serial number:thinking: anyway my Camera must never have been registered before? anyone else had this happen?

Not to register on the website they send out the warranty automatically after that.

They can tell how old a camera is by the serial number, but not when it was first sold. I have a D70s that was bought brand new 6 months ago from Jessops, more than a year after the model had been replaced by the D80....
