can one eat in one sitting ???
I could eat a full jar me, cant get enough at the minute ...
are they good for you ?
Yeah they are good for you, I think they lower your cholesterol. Also, stuffed ones are the best. Jalapeno stuffed or stuffed with other olives!
Olives are super good for you. I knew this girl who used to use olive-oil when sun-bathing, and wow what an effect it had on her complexion, but eating it is just great.

One of my favourite aperitif nibbles/starters/main course/etc., ...
Really think they are the dogs whether green or black stoned or un-stoned stuffed or not ... any time any place anywhere and especially with a glass of Red ... :D
:p
Never use anything else but olive oil, but I don't think I've ever tried eating one.

Ops ... she didn't eat olive-oil, and I didn't intend to say "eat olive-oil" but she did use it instead of sun-tan lotion.
What I intended to say was that olives is good for you, eating it, spreading it, or the oil itself!

Actually Rog although I would never knock a glass of red (well, apart from knocking one back! :D) I think that a white is better suited, even a <whisper>sherry</whisper>.
I love them and sell them. Most popular are plain old pitted but see if I serve one of my all-time faves, garlic stuffed, at home, people soon clear them.
Best stuffed seller is sun-dried tomato but is a bit sweet for my taste.
Slightly off-topic story: Once went flying in Tuscany with my paraglider. The whole area was covered in forests, vineyards and olive groves. Once you had committed to a glide you were really exposed to the prospect of tree landings of some form. The local advice was "land in the Olive trees - they are softer!"

I meant I use olive oil for cooking, never eaten an olive. I didn't think you meant she ate olive oil, though they say that is also good for you. :)
Yeah, I guess the whole idea of olives & olive-oil brought back flashbacks of memories long burried. Mind you, she used olive-oil for a lot of exotic aplications.
I didn't think you meant she ate olive oil,

They taste like toejam smothered in earwax fried in pickle juice.
Not that I would know of course :suspect:
I like olives, especially those stuffed with tomatoes, hate garlic though and it can be very difficult to find any that don't have any of it in or around them.

For the life of me I can't seem to get this out in a coherent way! I don't know how else to describe what she did, and how much I like / love olives  ... suffice to say she used to model for CK, so you can just let your imagination run wild, I guess ;)

Olives yes - black, green whatever by the bucket load!!!
Marmite yes :D but best on toast with a sprinkle of tabasco!
Olives are foul. Plain and simple. Hate them!
i love the black hate the green and dont mind the purple even *** they are all the same at different stages of their growth
used to hate and fear them then had a drunk epiphany one night in spain.
Can't stop nowadays.
Several girls have advised me though that there can be a certain similarity of taste with a certain part of the male anatomy. Having never licked myself or another man from top to toe though I couldn't possibly verify this and as such it remains anecdotal.

You can never have too many olives.
The exception to this rule of course being...2 is just right for in a Martini.
