The Tour of Horwich is a 5 race series held over 6 days. The races are a Park race, Road Race, Fell Race, Cross Country and the final being a 5K road Race as part of Horwich Carnival Races.

Yesterday was round 4 the Joseph Holt Cross Country race. Now I know everyone makes a big deal about the right light and I've never really taken much attention when shooting the running events as they happen at set times and I can't change that.

Last night was just right 7:30 start just as the sun start to go down a little, and boy what a differences it makes. These many not be the best action shots, but the are the best looking shot I've taken in a long time. I stopped the lens down just a little too this time and I'm pleased with the results.

I prefer #1 with its more interesting backdrop. Although #2 does capture the toil of running up hills better.
