I've deliberately stayed away from MMO's because I know I'll end up divorced and homeless. Counterstike is great for a few hours here and there. Starting to get into the GTA multiplayer which can be quite tactical which is surprising for the type of game, but the tactical game play of Counterstrike Source makes it so addictive. My former clan were in the top ten of a couple of gaming leagues for a while. I've not played regularly for a year or so though.

I heard COD4 is amazing, better than Halo 3 online. I'll need to give it a go, is the ranking/class system really that good?

yeah the ranking system is very indepth. its good because it means that you dont get stuck with a bunch of level 55 players when you are just starting and they have all the best weapons.

its just one of those games you can bang on for an hour without getting to involved.

I used to play Everquest and then Everqest II... really enjoyed them but they eat time away.

I play and so does my son (Minigub). He has been invited to join numerous clans, obviously I've trained him well :D

Yeah but people get around it GRR

If someone wants to set up a TP clan you'll have to ask the admin first and everything. Just to make sure.

People used to hate me using the scout, Me with a scout on Dust_2 ;)

Use to play A LOT - started a clan many moons ago too (www.froodyclan.co.uk), and it is still going strong, I am retired now though :p got sick of the game :(

Its too twitchy for me. I just couldn't keep up, and I found that, unlike other FPS's, it was a very steep learning curve, and the frustration wall was high.
I couldn't kill anyone, I just kept getting 'HEADSHOT'd and it was too frustrating.
I prefer games like Call of Duty 4 where the threshold is easier, and its aimed at the more casual gamer.
Don't tend to play games on the computer anymore. Costs too much to keep it running well.
If anyone plays xbox live, my gamertag is, funnily enough, Food Poison

Add me on it, I usually play COD4, GTA4 or Burnout Paradise.

The game got additive for me, wasn't doing me any good.

I stopped about a year or so ago, but wouldn't mind getting back in to it again (if i have nothing else to do it could be a laugh)

As long as the server is well maintained then the hackers are very quickly spotted and banned. CSS has stood up remarkably well over the years. I still find servers packed 24 hours a day.
