Sorry to post such a pointless thread, but I can't hold my excitement!
I'm selling all my 350d stuff, battery grip, batteries, you name it, so I'm going to have next to nothing for my 40d, but I don't care!
Too excited :D

I'm so excited about starting all again though! Figuring out the buttons, getting that new add-on that I've been waiting so patiently for, finding out something new (only figured out the custom features on my 350d the other day), and just all that stuff. I'm well and truly excited.

What I'm most excited about is the high ISO handling, the 6.5 fps, the 2 dials and the 10 megapixels. Just going to be so much better than my 350d.

Don't forget the spot metering :D

Oh my lord! I didn't even think about that!
I don't even know what spot metering is, but I am still grinning :D

erm, the high ISO handling, don't pin your hopes too much on that one, it's nothing special, infact I find my 400D in some cases produces less noisy images than my 40D :)

Well anything will be an improvement on the 350d :p
Not that the 350d was a bad camera! I loved it to pieces!
But I feel I've outgrown it and demand more than the camera has to offer.

Sold my 350d for £390 - £90 more than I had budgeted for.
Along with my 70-300 for £70

40d, got it for £480 from work, less £100 for cashback, means not only did I get a free 40d, I got an extra £90! Well chuffed :D
Picking the 40d up friday, and thinking about maybe buying a battery grip with the extra dough!

Yep, the grip is a very good buy!

Congrats on your purchase. The 40D is a super camera. I love mine!

Oooh our first "God fearing" camera on TP

Don't forget to take pics of the ceromony ;).......oh no, you can't, the camera IS the ceremony

I can take it using my k800i!
I know, blasphemy, but I've got no other choice!

Congratulations, I am sure you will love it! I certainly love mine.

Just take care at the christening as it isn't waterproof!!!
