Hi all, I have recently ventured into the realm of HDR photography, but unfortunately this has revealed the inadequacy of my "cheapo" tripod.(C-Section legs and plastic Pan/tilt head)
I am using a Sony Alpha200 with the stock 15-70 lens at the 70mm end of the scale.
For HDR I need to be able to take at least 3 to 5 exposures of the scene or shot, which are then combined for the HDR effect. . sorry for elaborating, I'm sure no-one here needs a photography lesson. . . .
Anyway, I was out last week, and it was a tad windy, plus I had the tripod and centre column quite high as I was shooting over a 5 ft wall. (too tight to pay the £5 fee to get into whitby abbey).
I must have shot about 8 sets of 5 exposures, and when I later checked out my pictures, only 1 set was anywhere near usable. . so I have come to the conclusion that I need to spend some money on a better tripod.
I have been looking at the lower end of manfrottos and giottos and also stumbled upon the redsnapper, but I am open to any suggestions. I dont have a huge budget, but it needs to do the job. I dont mind second-hand if I can get more for my money, but do tripods become sloppy with use?
this is my first post as I found your forum whilst googling for info. .
can anyone help.
cheers
