Anyone write songs?

I used to write songs but stopped and thinking of starting it again. What about anyone else?

Hi Tony,

I don't write lyrics but I write my own music, although I have mainly been recording other artists music aswell such as eric clapton etc.

My imagination isn't brilliant so it can take me a while to get something good :lol:

I record all music myself such as guitar, drums, keyboard, bass and any other instrument i need - it's great fun!

I would like someone to write lyrics and I could write the music.

Edit - oh yeh, I need a vocalist too lol

I write both music and lyrics but just for fun. I'm an accomplished musician (player of instruments) but by not a lyricist, librettist or composer by any means.

I've just finished a rather spiteful/parody piece as it happens which I'm pleased with on every level. I'm so looking forward to burning it to CD and mailing it anonymously to my victim! :razz: Wish I could be a fly on the wall.......

Yep, have done, but not for a while. Played guitar since I was 8, and have been in various bands since 11. I find I don't get into the 'writing zone' anywhere near as much these days - I think it's something to do with (comparitive) emotional maturity, not to mention an altogether calmer existence :D

I write lyrics and I write some pretty good stuff on the guitar... I just can't for the life of me put them together! :(

Hehe - I also used to be a muso in a previous life. Loads of poetry, lyrics... useless singing and guitar playing though! I'd love to start doing it again, but sold all my audio gear except my flamenco guitar... must dig out some of my old songs... for the hell of it :thinking:
