Went to Lemans & then went to the Ring afterwards for a little trip.

Ive just used my standard Lens but ive really struggled to get good shots - any help will be great!

With the motorsport you'll always struggle with the kit lens. The fences are a major distraction so the extra reach of a 200/300mm lens would capture the cars and crop out most of the fence. In your case a crop would enhance the picture and remove some of the distractions.

I've not been to the Ring so don't know how easy it is to get shots around the fence.

ill have to figure out cropping them then. The Rings ok as they have holes in the fence to take pictures through (and no gates are locked :p) but stil struggled getting close. Think a bigger lens is needed :'(

5 would have been excellent with a grad filter on, absolutley love the ring and everything around it :thumbs:

Me aswell, been wanting to go for years but I bit the bullet and went – cooked my brakes within 1 lap ( so Monday when I got home I ordered some Willwood 4 pots! ) ready for next year :)

maybe someone could PS it so the Grad Filter is on ;) :thinking:

i wish i did - raw meant 254 images - Jpeg meant 1000 ( i took over 500 pictures in the end! :bang: )

I've heard that the fence heights have been increased at the ring this year making shots even harder?

i was there mid week no one was about - NO gates are locked so its not a issue really at some places ;)

but where the fences are large they have made places to take pictures through them :) :clap:
