Getting green eyed seeing some of the Le Mans shots. Some very nice ones indeed. Here are some of my better ones (took hundreds to get a few decent ones....). All shots are out the camera with a few crops, and some darkening to comensate for the slight overexposure.

I like those - good record of the event.

You'll get more comments if you post pics rather than links

Some nice pics there, top work.

It's very sad but I know exactly where you were standing for all of those!!! (and the shots of the start finish line seem to show a new spectator area on the 1st corner I've not explored yet)

I was thinking the same as I know them aswell ;)

The new spectator area on the 1st corner is over near tert rouge, there was a barrier in place but you could climb over it and get some great pictures there!

As for the pictures you must have been stood near enough next to me on on the 1st corner as I recognized some of the people in your shot!

Great shots

The one I'm thinking about is in this pic;

'below' the Rolex sign. Looking at it further, it appears to be a private balcony affair for the La Sarthe local authority as there is a doorway into their building/accessed from the Museum. Might be worth investigating though.

Tertre Rouge is a bit further on.

Can you just post them all up as images? not links?

I'll get the images posted asap. I'll do them in a few posts. Would appreciate any feedback so I can improve the shots. I think the panning attempts need a slower shutter speed, as I was using 1/250.

Kev, I saw your post and realised we must have been in exactely the same spot, I noticed we had a few very similar shots.

It was really croweded, but worth it. It's one of the few locations you can peek above the fence, although by the time the fence is out the view, you're getting a shot of the rear of the cars. The New viewing area in Tetre rouge seems like a good place to watch.

The pictures as requested......as before please be brutally honest with critique. Lens: 70-300 IS USM & Sigma 24-70

Sigma tends towards a red/orange cast so added a bit of blue filter.
