This is just one of the scenes from my daily walk. It was taken from the top of the hill overlooking Saundersfoot.

Lovely shot Barbara, love the L shape comp, I think I would just crop off to the left side of the tree though, and leave the tree as a stopper  as theres not much goin on the left of it JMO

Thank you for looking and your nice comments. Do you think this looks better, I tried it with the tree as a stopper and it didn't look quite right, so I tried this version.

This is the Original version

No of course I don't mind your edit - thanks for trying, but we just both put the edited pic up at the same time I think. What I didn't like about the tree used as a stopper at the left is the shadow which it left at the bottom of the pic - I tried cloning it out but imo it still didn't work, soI tried taking it out all together - what do you think?

Lovely shot of a lovely scene Barbara. Really sharp and well exposed, I like the composition of the edited version best as it leads you into the shot better.

Thanks FB, I think I still prefer the original as I rather liked the coppice of trees on the left.

original is fine...be better though without so much of the tree to the right coming into the picture...in fact, the area looks so beautiful you need to get yout teeth sunk into what's beyond all those trees i think.

Original one for me too. Maybe clone out the bit of stray undergrowth by the tree though. Tis a smidge distracting.

Didn't take the d40 and the new lens then?

Didn't take the d40 and the new lens then? Thanks for looking Gandhi, No I just took this with my Casio Point and shoot, the one I always keep in my pocket. It does take nice shots though for a little compact.
These are the threads to the photos I took with my new lens. http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=68045
