Went to the F1 test day with Mrs AndrewC and her parents. Mrs. AndrewC hadn't been to see F1 cars since Damon Hill winning at Spa with the Jordan, but is often helping out at race circuits with our own car. Her parents hadn't seen (or heard) an F1 car apart from on the haunted fishtank.

Wasn't too pleased with my photos. :( Just didn't click on the day (geddit?)

Anyway...

1) Felipe Massa. Driving quickly. Yesterday.

2) Piquet Junior's Renault. Caused a number of red flag incidents (at any sort of test they have minimal marshalling and any incident is automatically red flagged. No waved yellows. Session only halted for about 5 minutes normally. Driver comes back first in a mini bus, then the team come out and cover the car. Why bother covering the car? You can tell if the driver is embarrassed if he takes his helmet off or leaves it on.

3) Mark Webber - Red Bull
Only did 40 laps or so as much of the morning was wasted with problems. Many other drivers did over 100 laps (almost 2 race distances)

4) Webber again. 1/60th

5) Heikki Kovalinen 1/60th

6) Jarno Trulli - Toyota

7) was going to put a picture of Jenson Button here, but his Honda is now so ugly with its nasal appendages and other oddments it has sprouted that it will frighten the children (Matt / Tony ;) )

Some in black and white because I wasn't happy with the colours and despite some tweaking wasn't happy.

Hopefully I'll get my head sorted out for Anglesey long weekend - leave Friday, home Monday, 2 days of racing.

I'm sure most of us have felt the same way at some time or other, I know I have before and did feel like that at the diddy dave London meet, pretty poor day for me photographically, my mind just wasn't on it.

I do like the B&W conversions Andrew, they're refreshingly different like that, number five is a great shot, and the one before. Makes me wish I had some track shots of my own to try it on, but I didn't find a good way around the fences.

Good set nonetheless, on your bad day.
