With Waddington just over a week away, I was looking back at my work at last years show. The weather really dealt the organisers a cruel blow but they still put on a great show on the Saturday, before the weather lost us Sunday completely.
With the French Mirage 2000 down for this year and the Vulcan (although unlikely now) possible this years show could be even better, lets hope the weather is at any rate!

I like the Jag one (classic shot well done) and the Tornado landing is also up my street.

Is that a Su30 in there too???

Cheers all. :)

Two of them, in fact. These were Su30MKI(ndia) specifically.
A number of them had previously arrived to take part in an Excersice in the two weeks after the show and three were good enough to takeoff and do a flypast/break to land to at least give us a chance to see Flankers at a UK show again.

Two were also on static at RIAT whilst a third performed a very short and distant routine there.

Things are looking up the Vulcan has the money for Waddo, RIAT and Farnborough, just needs certificates.

Still needs a long term sponsor though.

Would be awesome to see the Vulcan in the air again.

The last time i saw it fly was at Southport airshow over 20 years ago.

Cue poor quality 80's pic :)

Hiya Aperture.

I feel a bit rude asking this, but do you make any money out of your shots? If yes, how.

I'd very much like to think you do because they are great shots and I think you deserve to make some dosh from them.

Nope, I never got into photography with an intention to earn money. I'm happy being (trying?) a professional amateur (if you get what I mean) and doing it solely for my enjoyment. Besides, my photos aren't that special, there are many other out there who do just as well. I appreciate the compliment though.:)

As for the Vulcan? My honest opinion is, sadly, that it won't be at Waddington and will, instead make it's debut at RIAT. I'd love to be wrong though, because Waddo would be a much fitter location for that first display. I've seen the Vulcan fly before, but only as a young lad of about 2/3.
